A Message from Dr. Bluestone regarding the 2009 Diabetes Center Retreat.
First, I would like to thank all of you for attending this year’s Diabetes Center Retreat. It was especially gratifying to see the breadth and depth of the research efforts at UCSF in Diabetes ranging from research to education to community action. Also, I wish to thank all those who were involved in putting the event together including Christian Vaisse, the IT staff, Jimmy and other administrative personal and the students and post-docs who put together the movies (has anyone seen my chair – its black).
Finally, let’s all congratulate Janet Lau for presenting the winning poster at the 2009 Diabetes Center Retreat. The title of her poster was: "Activation of Hh signaling in the pancreas through Gli2 is facilitated by loss of cilia and results in profound endocrine loss”
I look forward to a great event next year.
Jeff
